IPAM Karangpilang IV
Municipal water treatment
Indonesia
Project Overview
IPAM Karangpilang IV is a new water treatment plant by
Permuda Air Minum Surya Sembada. The plant treats
surface water drawn from the nearby Surabaya river.
The plant was built to enhance water reliability and help
the utility company achieve 24-hour service coverage
across the city of Surabaya.
BW Water was responsible for the engineering design, procurement, build, and commissioning of the clarification, filtration and chemical dosing system, including the low-voltage motor control centre (MCC) and the supply, configuration and integration of the SCADA system.
Download the case study to explore how this plant was designed to manage the highly turbid source water, which contained ammonia, iron and organic matter.
